Gyrotonic is a powerful system of exercise for conditioning, stretching, strength, balance, and flexibility. The exercises build muscular strength and promote stability around the joints, enabling increased range of motion. People of all ages and all levels of fitness can participate. It was developed by Juliu Horvath, who patented his ideas and designed the ergonomically correct wood crafted machines that are used for Gyrotonic.
Each Gyrotonic teacher at Circle Studio is professionally certified as a Gyrotonic Pre-Trainer or Gyrotonic Trainer. We are experienced teachers and we're dedicated to designing a program for your specific needs. We work with you one-on-one. Our Gyrotonic clients range in age from 15 to 83. Some are recovering from knee, back, neck, or other injuries and others are active people who want a balanced exercise regimen. The benefit our clients tell us about is the confidence and increased physical and mental ability they feel as a result of increased strength, range of motion, flexibility, balance, and muscle tone. In addition, they report relief from aches and pains they had thought they'd have to "learn to live with." And it's fun!
