Heather trained as a dancer and performer and is a former teacher of musical theater and dance. Eventually her passionate interest in using movement for increased health and fitness led her to become a student, and then a teacher, of movement therapies.Heather works with clients of all ages and fitness levels and is dedicated to helping her students learn to use Pilates and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) to gain strength and flexibility, to alleviate pain and prevent injuries, and to have fun.
Heather's interests include cycling, running, rock climbing, and hiking.
Heather earned her BA in Musical Theater from California State University Fullerton. She received her Pilates Trainer Certification from Romana Kryzanowska of Romana's Pilates in New York. In Los Angeles she taught Pilates with Siri Dharma of Live Art Pilates, with Mari Winsor of Winsor Pilates (including performing in Mari Winsor's advanced Pilates videos), and has also taught with Adylia Roman, UCLA Athletic Trainer. She trained with Aaron Mattes for her Certification in Active Isolated Stretching. Heather has completed additional studies in Anatomy, Kinesiology, and Pilates.
